About me:
Being from a family with roots in the cattle business, I was on a horse before I could walk. From a very young age I enjoyed roping and rodeos. As I got older I began to break and train rope horses until I switched over to thoroughbred racehorses and began work at Glen Ridge Farm. There I learned how to successfully break and prepare young horses to be racehorses. From there, I went on to work at the racetrack which allowed me to put together the pieces from breaking to the track and what it takes for horses to have a successful career at the track. I’ve been fortunate to be able to work under a small variety of trainers and owners that each gave me different learning experiences and opportunities from weanling sales prep to galloping one in training at the racetrack.

I am very happy to finally be back in my home state of Florida, doing what I have the most passion for, educating young horses. At Woodford I am responsible in assisting in all the breaking and training for sale, race, and lay up horses in addition to any weanling or yearling sales prep. I am hands on and oversee all the horses at our facility day to day; everything from turn out to vet visits. Not only do we train on the track, but we also offer turnout paddocks, a turf gallop, and on-site swimming. This all allows for a diverse training schedule that gives us the freedom to do what is best for the horse’s body and mind. It is a privilege to be here doing what I enjoy and excel the most at. There is nothing better than seeing a young horse thrive and live up to their full potential at the races.

In my free time I like to relax and spend my time with my wife Laura and daughter Hazel. I enjoy football, NASCAR, going to the beach, as well as the outdoors and animals.
